Suspension – Keep it Flat

Suspension Tuning and Sway Bars

Probably one of the most overlooked upgrades for your vehicle’s suspension are the sway bars. Why? Most of the time it’s a case of just not knowing. To most, springs and struts, coilovers or air ride is the extent of upgrading suspension parts. However, every component of your suspension system potentially can be upgraded. Even if it’s not readily available through the major aftermarket sources.

Hybrid Turbos Small Frames that Pack a Punch – Rezmoto Tech Corner

Anyone that’s tried to squeeze every horsepower they can out of a stock Audi or Volkswagen turbo knows that they run out of breath way too soon. For years the “k04” was our go to option. Reliable zero-lag power from a factory turbo, plug-n-play, little to no customization needed; But roughly the same cost, if not more, of a big turbo setup (Let’s not forget trying to find the right tuner). Not anymore. There is a solution: daily drivable, reliable power without the lag. What’s not to love?

Meet your new best friend.. the hybrid turbo. Whether you start with your stock turbo, or an upgraded stock,(commonly referred to as K04) it’s possible to get more flow from the turbine (hot) side and the compressor (cold) side of the turbo. But how do I do that? With a little machine work, and careful selection, it’s possible to stuff bigger internals into your small frame turbo. This isn’t something new though, it’s just more recently caught on in the performance world as turbo technology and tuning has advanced a lot since the famous turbo cars of last century.

Corn Fed. An Inside Look at E85 – Rezmoto Tech Corner

What is E85?

From the Crowmod, to daily driven street machines, E85 has taken the performance world to new levels. To those unfamiliar with E85, here’s a quick summary: Sometimes called “flex fuel,” E85 is comprised of (hopefully) 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. It is a biofuel made from organic materials and is a “friendly” fuel. It just so happens that E85 also has the potential to put down 100-116 octane horsepower with more friendly pump gas prices. We”ll discuss pros and cons, how it’s made, and the hype behind this “new” race fuel.

EVO Dyno Tuning – Orlando to Miami Connect

In today’s tuner world, everyone claims to be a tuner. Well, for those in the know, the best tuners are the busy tuners and to travel 3+ hours to have a master tuner at the helm is fast becoming not so out of the ordinary. The nightmare stories you hear at the weekly meets and all the exaggerations of high HP numbers from so and so tuner can make your head spin. A reputation of a good tuner goes a looong way.

Danny Perez of DMT Tuning is one of the trusted master tuners of EVO’s and Subbie’s and comes highly recommended by some rather quick EVO’s. I have to tell you, we arrived at 10am on a Saturday and a line of EVO’s had already started. By the time it was our turn on the Dyno, it was 6pm. Not that I’m complaining about the wait, good things come to those who wait, and it was certainly worth watching a master tuner squeeze out 578HP from a heavily modified Subbie among the other EVO 8’s, 9’s and 10’s

When it was our turn, Danny got to work, gave us a few options, then got to work on updating the tuning on our EVO 10. All and all, I hope Danny the best of success. He is definitely a tuner that I will recommend with full confidence in bringing out the best tunes for your work in progress.
