Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro Worthersee Concept

(Source: Autoblog)

Worthersee is the uncontested ultimate Volkswagen/Audi car show in the world. For 30 years this event has gone on, and both companies reward their customers for their loyalty with cool concepts like this year’s A1 Clubsport Quattro. This concept is the first A1 to feature all-wheel drive, a staple of Audi’s design theory, and Audi did not stop there. The engineers at Audi have built a 2.5-liter turbo engine that sits devilishly under the hood capable of producing 500 horsepower. All of that power in the small hatchback will go from 0-62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and hit the limiter of 155 mph in 10.9 seconds. On the outside a more aggressive wide-body kit, carbon fiber roof, rear spoiler, and side exhaust were all added along with some unique 19-inch fan blade wheels. While the A1 Clubsport Quattro is most likely just fan service for Worthersee just as the GTI W12 was a few years ago, the car is available for download on Need For Speed and a similar body kit for the current A1 was released at the show

Classic Cars and an Audi A1

Personally, I love Classic Cars, from the 60’s, 50’s and even much earlier. And, I love the new Audi A1.  Put them together and I don’t know what you have.  An old school drag race with the new Audi is without a doubt an interesting advertisement.  What is your take?

Senner Tuning A1

The Audi A1 just launched not to long ago and already Senner Tuning, a German based tuning company, has stepped up to the plate.  They decided to bump the 108bhp 1.6 TDI motor to a tune of 138bhp.  If the power upgrade is not enough for you, Senner offers a complete tuning package including adjustable KW suspension, upgraded Barracuda T6 wheels, sport exhaust and even special paint.  As one of the first companies to offer a complete package for the A1, we can surely see the potential. I just can’t wait to see what other companies have in store for the new A1.

Audi S1?!?

You have probably seen the commercial for the Audi A1, if not watch it here.  As you all know, here in the States we do not tend to get any of the hotter cars and this will be no exception.  There is rumors and even a spy shot of of the new Audi S1 that will be coming out.  With a 1.4 liter 4 cylinder turbo engine, the car will only produce 180hp, but it should still move pretty quickly thanks to the power-to-weight ratio.  Now here is the real kicker…. NO QUATTRO?

The Next Big Audi

Nice play on embedding the ‘A’ letter throughout… How many ‘A’s did you count? On a side note, and being an ex-Stanton employee, pretty cool seeing a Stanton headshell making a cameo. Brings back a lot of great memories.
